OceanMight secures work on Jerun’s project

Sarawak-based oil and gas fabricator OceanMight has been awarded a subcontract related to the central processing platform for the Jerun project offshore Malaysia.

In a statement to Bursa Malaysia, KKB Engineering Berhad (“KKB”) has announced that its subsidiary, OceanMight Sdn. Bhd. has received a Letter of Award from MALAYSIA MARINE AND HEAVY ENGINEERING SDN. BHD. (“MMHE”) for Provision of Fabrication Engineering, Supervision, Manpower, Necessary Equipment/Tools and Consumables to carry out Piles Fabrication, Loadout and Sail Away for SK408W Jerun A CPP Jacket 

In April 2021, Malaysia Marine & Heavy Engineering (MMHE), the main contractor for the Jerun central processing platform secured EPCIC Contract for SK408W Jerun Development Project, Offshore Sarawak, from SapuraOMV Upstream (Sarawak) Inc. 

Jerun gas field, lies in the SK408W Block located offshore Bintulu, Sarawak. SapuraOMV Upstream (Sarawak) Inc. is the Operator of SK408W Block, with Sarawak Shell Berhad and PETRONAS Carigali Sdn. Bhd. holding 30% equity interest, each.
