Japan Drilling Co. (JDC), through its agent in Malaysia, NABA Drilling Sdn Bhd, has secured a new contract to provide drilling services to PETRONAS Carigali Sdn. Bhd. (PCSB) .
According to JDC, the contract is for drilling services that will be carried out offshore Sarawak, Malaysia
The contract involves drilling of four firm wells along with options for six wells, and is estimated to commence around Q3 2022. The value of the contract was not disclosed. The rig recently commenced work on a one-well contract for Inpex off Japan.
