According to data from US Energy Information Association, Malaysia's oil production in 2018 averaged more than 600,000 bbl/d. Oil production in this country largely contributed by numbers of local and international companies such as Petronas Carigali, Shell, ExxonMobil and PTTEP (previously Murphy Oil).
